Brief outline of the members
Xavier Muñoz
Ecuadorian entrepreneur for about 20 years. His conservation and environmental activity has been fundamental in his professional and personal life. Xavier collaborated closely with CECIA (today Aves & Conservación) as well as with Fundaciòn Jocotoco. And without doubt, this has been an educational experience which aimed to the conservation of important forests. The goals accommplished were definitely positive to the environment.
His biggest motivation as part of Fundación Sembrando Esperanza, is to imprint and execute during the next 20 years, actions which will contribute to solve some of the environmental problems that our country and planet are in need of. Some of these being deforestation and the near extinction of mammals and birds
“The challenge is huge but my will is even bigger”, he says.

Luz Álvarez:
Chilean educator, I have worked in the private sector in areas of logistics, production and customer service.
I have not been directly involved in conservation organizations, but I find some of them where “mission” is set aside, and personal interests and ambition prevail
I find Ecuadorian Conservation Foundation “Planting Hope” is growing up in a different way, with transparency and responsability, that motivates me to be part of this challenge.
